Hiking Delights.

Route description
Having started from Wald station, we pass our final destination, the Bleiche resort. As many former factory buildings, it is used differently nowadays: it features a restaurant and a luxurious spa. Along the Blatten creek we ascent to Unterbach. From here we take the shortest route via Orn to the top of Bachtel mountain. But first, take a dip in the Alpine tub: where else can you enjoy fondue outside in a hot tub with a view of the Alps overlooking the sea of fog?

A view like from an airplane
After this well-deserved rest, it is easy now to climb the last meters of altitude. The gorgeous view from the tower is worth the strain of the ascent as the view from the peak is like from an airplane. After a refreshment at the Bachtel-Kulm restaurant, we go through the forest over the Bachtelspalt to the Bachtelhörnli. The way is steep but we get to the Tänler hamlet in a short time and are able to enjoy the view down to the forest once again before we finally reach the Bleiche resort in Wald again.

Feast and relax
Those who would like to enjoy the spa now are at the right place. Rest your tired limbs at the sauna, the whirlpool or enjoy a relaxing massage. On the way to the station it is well worth stopping at the Neff dairy that is renowned for its local specialities.
